With the launch of this bus ticket campaign Salford PCT aim to increase the awareness of the services to those who live in Greater Manchester. You are given the option to request a kit to do at home from either www.ruclear.co.uk or by texting the word ‘test’ with your name, age and address to 84010.
This campaign is part of The National Chlamydia Screening Programme (NCSP) is a control and prevention programme aimed at sexually active young people under the age of 25. The screening target for 2009/10 is 25% of all 15-24 year olds. Chlamydia is the most commonly diagnosed sexually transmitted infection (STI) in the UK and 1 in 10 sexually active young people aged 15-24 could have it. You don’t need to have had lots of sexual partners to be at risk of catching it.
